North American Cryptid Museum Waiver & Release of Liability
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING TICKETS OR ENTERING THE PREMISES.By purchasing a ticket and/or entering the premises of the North American Cryptid Museum, including any shared Dark Hour Haunted House facility areas, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF AGE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
I acknowledge that I am at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to purchase tickets for myself and/or others. If I am purchasing tickets for minors or others under my care, I accept full responsibility for their participation and voluntarily assume all associated risks on their behalf, including those outlined in this waiver.
I UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THAT:
Activities at the North American Cryptid Museum may involve walking through exhibit spaces, themed or dim lighting, uneven walking surfaces, stairs, close proximity to displays, props, staff, or other guests, limited-capacity areas, retail spaces, exterior grounds, and optional participation in tours, classes, workshops, painting, craft, or other hands-on events.
GUESTS SHOULD USE CARE AND DISCRETION IF:
- They are pregnant or have medical, mobility, respiratory, balance, sensory, or other physical conditions that could be aggravated by walking, stairs, dim or themed lighting, prolonged standing, hands-on activities, or crowded areas
- They are feeling ill, have a condition that could make participation unsafe, or require assistance navigating museum, event, retail, parking, or exterior areas
- They are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medications
- Children under 12 years of age are attending without a parent or guardian
RULES OF CONDUCT:
I agree to:
- Not run, smoke, eat, drink, or touch displays, props, artifacts, staff, or other guests unless instructed as part of an approved hands-on activity
- Not use flash photography or video recording where prohibited; follow all posted photography and recording guidelines
- Keep personal belongings, jewelry, and loose accessories secure and away from displays, props, and exhibit areas
- Not engage in disruptive, unsafe, or intoxicated behavior
- Follow all posted rules and staff instructions throughout the property, including museum, lounge, event, queue, retail, parking, and exterior areas
Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises without refund.
ALCOHOL SERVICE NOTICE:
I understand that alcoholic beverages may be served at certain events. I agree to consume alcohol responsibly and acknowledge that I may be refused service or removed from the premises if I appear intoxicated or behave unsafely. I release the North American Cryptid Museum and Dark Hour Haunted House from any liability arising from my consumption of alcohol before, during, or after the event.
MEDIA RELEASE:
I grant permission for my image, likeness, and voice to be recorded and used for promotional, advertising, and broadcast purposes without compensation. I waive all rights to any images or recordings made of me at the museum, event, or on the premises. I have no expectation of privacy within this business or on its grounds.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK & WAIVER OF LIABILITY:
I voluntarily assume all risks and dangers associated with participation in any activity or presence on the property of the North American Cryptid Museum and any shared Dark Hour Haunted House facility areas, including but not limited to personal injury, property loss, illness (including viral exposure), and death.
I hereby release and hold harmless the North American Cryptid Museum, Dark Hour Haunted House, their owners, operators, affiliates, landlords, employees, volunteers, and contractors from any liability, harm, injury, damage, expense, or death that may occur before, during, or after my visit.
GENERAL PREMISES LIABILITY:
This waiver applies to all areas of the North American Cryptid Museum and any shared Dark Hour Haunted House facility areas, including but not limited to museum areas, lounges, event rooms, queue lines, retail spaces, parking areas, exterior grounds, and shared facility spaces.
NO REFUNDS:
I understand that there are no refunds for any reason, including dissatisfaction, early exit, illness, injury, late arrival, inability to attend, or weather-related closures. In the event of severe weather, rain checks may be honored for another date within the same operating season.
